Maira Oliveira

Originally from Brazil, Maira has called London home for more than 20 years. After becoming a mum in 2017, she decided to change direction and retrained as a mortgage adviser in 2020. This gave her the chance to balance family life with a career she genuinely enjoys – supporting people in reaching their dreams, finding the right home for them, and keeping what matters safe.

Maira has a particular passion for supporting foreign nationals and people who are new to the UK. Having built her own life here after moving from abroad, she understands how daunting it can feel to navigate a new system and is committed to making the mortgage process as clear and reassuring as possible.

Her friends and colleagues describe her as caring, positive and supportive, always encouraging others to be their best.

Co-founding Sapphire Mortgages with Karen has been an exciting step in her journey – creating a company built on trust, expertise and genuine care for clients.

Away from work, Maira enjoys her early morning self-care routine, days out with her husband and children, cooking with a creative touch, and catching up with friends – ideally over a nice glass of wine and a good series.
